{"id":243,"date":"2009-08-26T11:22:20","date_gmt":"2009-08-26T15:22:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businessconflictmanagement.com\/blog\/?p=243"},"modified":"2009-08-26T11:22:20","modified_gmt":"2009-08-26T15:22:20","slug":"a-good-video-for-cross-border-mediation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.businessconflictmanagement.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/a-good-video-for-cross-border-mediation\/","title":{"rendered":"A Good Video for Cross-Border Mediation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last year I had occasion to show a mediation video to a group of senior claims executives of European insurance companies who had assembled in Zurich.\u00a0 They loved it, and I was reminded just how powerful this video\u00a0is to introduce the process of cross-border, cross-cultural interest-based facilitated negotiation to business people.\u00a0 And it&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inta.org\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;getcontent=3&amp;id=695&amp;task=view&amp;Itemid=224&amp;getcontent=4\" target=\"_self\">online<\/a>!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpradr.org\" target=\"_self\">CPR Institute<\/a> made this video &#8212; &#8220;<em>Resolution Through Mediation: Solving a Complex International Business Problem&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0&#8212; in 2003 as a co-production with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inta.org\" target=\"_self\">International Trademark Association<\/a>.\u00a0 Michael Leathes (then of British American Tobacco, now of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imimediation.org\/\" target=\"_self\">International Mediation Institute<\/a>) was the driving force behind it.\u00a0 CPR offers the hard-copy and INTA offers the online access.<\/p>\n<p>The 40-minute video depicts a dispute between a Russian\u00a0and an American distillery over the trade dress of competing brands of vodka.\u00a0 The dispute is mediated by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inta.org\/downloads\/adr_MuellerPeter.pdf\" target=\"_self\">F.
